Tron (TRX) Gains Momentum as Bitget Wallet Cuts USDT Transfer Fees by 50% to Boost DeFi Adoption
In a strategic move to enhance decentralized finance (DeFi) accessibility, Bitget Wallet has announced a 50% reduction in transaction fees for TRC-20 USDT transfers on the TRON network. The promotion also includes a gas-free first transfer, further solidifying TRON's position as a leading blockchain for stablecoin transactions. This development comes as TRON's USDT supply surpasses $80 billion, highlighting its growing dominance in the stablecoin market. Additionally, Bitget Wallet's upgraded GetGas feature now supports 10 major blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon, offering users seamless and cost-effective transactions across multiple networks. This initiative is expected to drive greater adoption of TRON (TRX) and reinforce its role in the evolving DeFi landscape.
Bitget Wallet Slashes TRON USDT Transfer Costs by 50% in Push for DeFi Accessibility
Bitget Wallet has launched a promotion halving transaction fees for TRC-20 USDT transfers on the TRON network, with the first transfer being completely gas-free. The MOVE positions the wallet as a cost leader for stablecoin transactions amid TRON's surge past $80 billion in USDT supply.
The upgraded GetGas feature now supports 10 blockchains including Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon, offering fee-less transfers for multiple assets. "Web3 should be as seamless as Web2," said CMO Jamie Elkaleh, addressing longstanding frustrations with TRON's gas mechanics.
This strategic reduction in friction comes as tron consolidates its position as a dominant stablecoin network. The wallet's infrastructure overhaul demonstrates how service providers are competing to lower barriers to decentralized finance adoption.

Russian State Giant Rostec to Launch Ruble-Pegged Stablecoin on Tron Blockchain
Rostec, a Russian state-owned manufacturing conglomerate, is set to introduce a ruble-pegged stablecoin, RUBx, alongside a payment platform called RT-Pay by the end of the year. Each RUBx token will be backed one-to-one by Russian rubles held in a treasury account, with Rostec serving as the sole issuer and operator. The project will leverage the TRON blockchain, with contract code published on GitHub and audited by CertiK for security.
RT-Pay aims to integrate seamlessly with Russia's banking infrastructure, enabling near-instant transactions and smart contract functionality. The platform claims compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism regulations, as well as Bank of Russia requirements. A phased rollout will initially target high-friction payment sectors before expanding further.
The move comes as Russia continues to explore digital currency solutions, including the central bank's digital ruble pilot. This development signals growing institutional acceptance of blockchain technology within the country's financial ecosystem.
